Thai Cuisine

Thai cuisine is divided into four categories: Tom (boiled dishes), Yam (spicy salads), Tam (pounded meals), and Gaeng (curries). The cuisine has been influenced by neighboring countries. Thai cuisine is more accurately described as five regional cuisines, corresponding to the five main regions of Thailand. The main ingredients of Thai cuisine include rice, vegetables, fish, and fresh herbs and spices.
